1.6    Creating a Group

Objects of the same type and parent can be grouped to simplify the view or to perform system management tasks on many objects at the same time.

NOTE
A group cannot contain another group.

To create a group in a View window:

1. Do one of the following to select the objects for the group:

   • Select the first object to be included in the group, then press and hold Ctrl and click the left mouse button to select the other objects to be included in the group.

   • Click and hold the left mouse button in a blank area of the view, drag the mouse to draw a box around the objects you want to select, then release the mouse button.

2. Choose Group from the Action menu. The Group dialog box is displayed.

3. Enter the new group name or use the default supplied by SysMan Station.

4. Select OK.
