The SysMan Station server on host <hostname> is version <n1>, which is incompatible with the SysMan client application (sysman -station) which is version <n2>. Thus the SysMan Station client cannot run on this server.
To run SysMan Station either run a client application (sysman -station) from <hostname> or use the Web browser to connect to <hostname>: 2301. Note: You can either click on SysMan Station to start the application within the PC browser or download the latest kit, however this may remove your current SysMan Station client.

Description: This error occurs when you are trying to connect a client to a server whose versions are incompatible.
Possible Cause: You are trying to connect to an incompatible version of the SysMan Station daemon (smsd).
Suggested Action: Run a client application from the host from the command line of an X-capable display such as a UNIX workstation, a PC Web browser, or directly on a PC.

To learn how to run the client application from the host, load the SysMan home page from the Compaq Insight Manager home page, http://<hostname>:2301/SYSMAN/index.html, and follow the instructions provided.

NOTE
This download will overwrite your current SysMan Station client. See Opening SysMan Station.

Host <hostname> is running an old version (version <n>) of the SysMan Server (smsd). The SysMan Station will run in compatibility mode.

Description: This message occurs when you are trying to connect a client to an older server, and features available in the newer version of SysMan Station may not be available during this session.
Possible Cause: The SysMan Station server that the client is connected to is one version older than the client.
Suggested Action: No further action is necessary; however, you optionally can perform the suggested action below.

Cluster members are in a Rolling Upgrade

Description: When restarting the SysMan Station daemon (smsd), this message appears when there are cluster members with different operating system versions.

This TruCluster has members with different versions of UNIX. This may cause the SysMan Station to be unaware of new hardware, and may cause these new SysMan management features to be unavailable. Once the upgrade is complete, all of the hardware and management features will return to fully functional. See the TruCluster Installation Guide for more information.

Description: This message appears as a result of selecting More Information from either the Incompatible Versions error message when you are trying to connect a client to a server whose versions are incompatible or the Compatibility Mode message when you are trying to connect a client to an older server, and features available in the newer version of SysMan Station may not be available during this session.
