1.22    Performing a System Management Task

You can highlight an object in a SysMan Station View window and perform management tasks on that object. The management tasks that are available will depend on what type of object is selected.

NOTE
You must be root or have the appropriate privilege to perform a management task from SysMan Station. See the for information about assigning privileges for nonroot users to allow them to perform specific actions.

To perform a management task in a View window:

1. Select an object with the left mouse button.

2. Do one of the following to see the available management categories:

   • Pull down the Tools menu to view the categories of management tasks that can be performed on that object.

   • Select the object with the right mouse button to display the categories of management tasks that can be performed on that object.

3. Select the management category.

4. Select the management task.
