2.19    New Connection Dialog Box

Use the New Connection dialog box to run the SysMan Station on a new host. This will not close the SysMan Station sessions that are already running.

You can access the New Connection dialog box by selecting New Connection...from the File menu.

DESCRIPTION

Host Name:

Specifies the system on which you want to open the SysMan Station. This field is read-only when SysMan Station is running in a Web browser.
Data Type: Alphanumeric
Valid Values: Any system on the LAN or WAN

Login as yourself/Login as a new user

Specifies the user to be connected.
Format: Radio Button
Default Value: Yourself
Options: Login as yourself/Login as new user

Username:

Specifies your login ID. This field is dimmed when SysMan Station is running in a Web browser or when you are logging in as yourself.
Data Type: Alphanumeric plus special characters
Valid Values: Any valid login ID

Password:

The password associated with Username. This field is dimmed when SysMan Station is running in a Web browser or when you are logging in as yourself.
Data Type: Alphanumeric plus special characters
Valid Values: The password associated with Username

Set XMotif Display: check box

Activates the text field in which you can enter the name of the XMotif display when SysMan Station is running on a PC as an application.
Format: Check box
Mandatory/Optional: Optional
Valid Values: On or off

Set XMotif Display: text field

Specifies the name of the XMotif display when SysMan Station is running on a PC as an application.
Format: Text field
Data Type: Alphanumeric and special characters
Mandatory/Optional: Mandatory when the Set XMotif Display: check box is set to on
Default Value: The hostname on which you are running SysMan Station
Valid Values: Any valid hostname

BUTTON DESCRIPTION
OK

Makes the connection and closes the dialog box.

Apply

Makes the connection without closing the dialog box.

Cancel

Closes the dialog box without making the connection.

Help

Displays help for the dialog box.
