SYNOPSIS

       double significand(double x);

       float significandf(float x);

       long double significandl(long double x);

DESCRIPTION
       If x equals sig * 2^n with 1≤ sig < 2, then these functions return sig.

RETURN VALUES
       Upon successful completion, these functions return sig.

       If x is either 0, ±Inf or NaN, x is returned.

ERRORS
       No errors are defined.
