<H4>DESCRIPTION</H4>
<P><I>infosearch</I> allows users to search and browse virtually
all SGI documentation: online books & help cards, man pages
and release notes. Various command line options allows the
program to be invoked in different states.</P>
<P>The <I>infosearch</I> command launches your (system)
web-browser to access the available content and information.</P>
<P>For more details, please consult the on-line help.</P>
<H4>OPTIONS</H4>
<P>Command line options are described below.</P>
<DL><DT>-server</DT>
<DD> Starts up <I>infosearch</I> and points at the value given for
<I>server</I>_<I>spec</I>. This value can be
specified as "foo.domain" or as a fully-qualifed HTTP address;
such as "http://foo.domain.com".</DD>
</DL>
<DL><DT>-relnotes | -man | -books | -bks</DT>
<DD> Starts up <I>infosearch</I> and loads the
content-specific page (rather than the initial <I>infosearch</I>
page) for the given information source: release
notes, man pages, or online books; respectively. That content
area may then be browsed or searched.</DD>
</DL>
<DL><DT>-opt</DT>
<DD> Invokes the <I>infosearch</I> options panel. This allows you
to configure <I>infosearch</I> and specify various launch
options. Those include : if you wish to use an existing or
new web-browser window and which URL (site) you wish to go to. </DD>
