NAME
       scopeux - Performance collection daemon

SYNOPSIS
       scopeux [-d directory ] [-nopri] [-c parmfile ]

       -d directory Specifies where to log and look for parameter (parm) file.

       -nopri Turns off programatic setting of priority.

       -c  parmfile  Checks  the syntax of the parm file specified then termi‐
       nates.

DESCRIPTION
       scopeux is a daemon process that runs on an  HP Performance Agent moni‐
       tored  system.	It  is invoked by the pa script.  scopeux logs perfor‐
       mance data that is read by the  Performance Monitor (PM) or HP  Perfor‐
       mance  Agent  analysis  software.  scopeux can serve both products as a
       data collector.	The user-controlled configuration file parm is used to
       control	scopeux's  logging.   The script perfstat can be used to check
       the status of performance collection daemon processes.
