SCO OpenServer Release 6.0.0 new features and notes

DOS and Windows

SCO OpenServer Release 6.0.0 includes the following products for interoperability with Microsoft® operating systems:

Samba SMB/CIFS fileserver for UNIX

Samba replaces the Advanced File and Print Server (AFPS) product.

Note the following when installing and using Samba:

Heimdal (Kerberos 5) notes

The Heimdal (Kerberos 5) package is supplied in support of Samba. Although Heimdal is a general purpose implementation of Kerberos 5 and should work with any user-level utility that needs it, the utilities themselves need to be linked against the Heimdal libraries at build-time. Currently, only Samba has Kerberos 5 support linked in.

The Heimdal online documentation is available from the Networking category in the online documentation.
