2.7.12 General Tasks

The General branch of the SysMan Menu contains additional, miscellaneous tasks, such as:

Shut down the system
Performs a shutdown, halt, or reboot on the system.

Quick Setup
Use Quick Setup to start a series of interactive dialog boxes that prompt you for the information to set up your system. Various default values, as well as your entries, define the required system parameters. Otherwise, you can use a custom setup, using the System Setup (also known as the Checklist), for options that go beyond the basic setup.

Cloning setup information
Displays information about using the cloning feature.

Command line interface information
Displays information about using the command line interface; examples are also shown.

Configure X Display Manager
Configures the X Display Manager for your system. You can choose either Common Desktop Environment ( CDE) or X Display Manager ( XDM) as your windowing environment.
