1.2    Finding and Running a Task

SysMan Menu lets you search for a task given its name or a keyword conceptually associated with the task; for example, network, wizard, netsetup, configuration, and routing are all conceptually associated with the Network Setup Wizard. SysMan Menu displays all the management categories and tasks that match your entry. You can select the appropriate task and run it.

To find and run a task on SysMan Menu:

  1. Select Find... from the SysMan Menu main window. The Find Task by Keyword dialog box opens.

  2. Enter a keyword (a portion of text to identify the task) in Enter a search keyword.

You can use special characters to enhance the search.

Search keywords are not case sensitive.

For example, use network* to find all management categories and tasks related to networks, such as networking, networks, or Network Management.

  3. Choose OK. The Task List dialog box opens.

  4. Select the task you want to perform from the task list.

  5. Select Run Task to run the selected task.

NOTE:For a description of the tasks included on SysMan Menu, see The SysMan Menu. To search for a description of a specific task, see the Index.
