Tru64 UNIX documentation is provided on CD-ROM as files that can be displayed using the Netscape Navigator World Wide Web browsing program. Netscape Communicator is installed automatically when the installation procedure detects a graphics adapter on the system.
Use this procedure to invoke the Netscape Navigator, link to the Tru64 UNIX home page, and load the Tru64 UNIX documentation bookshelf:
Do one of the following to invoke the Netscape Navigator:
To invoke the Netscape Navigator from the command line, enter
/usr/bin/X11/netscape
.
To invoke the Netscape Navigator from the CDE front panel, do the following:
Click on the Personal Applications subpanel on the CDE front panel.
Click on the Netscape Navigator icon.
In the Netscape Navigator window, load the Tru64 UNIX home page
by entering the following file location into the
Location:
input text field:
file:/usr/doc/netscape/Welcome.html
Optional: Add the Tru64 UNIX home page to your list of bookmarks by clicking on the Bookmarks menu and then clicking on Add Bookmark.
NOTE:The Tru64 UNIX home page contains links to a wide variety of documentation, including a local copy of the Netscape Navigator's User's Handbook.
When the Tru64 UNIX home page is loaded, select the
Tru64 UNIX
documentation
link to load the Tru64 UNIX documentation bookshelf.
Add the
Tru64 UNIX documentation
link to
your list of bookmarks by clicking on the Bookmarks menu and then clicking
on Add Bookmark.
Click on any link to begin your browsing of the Tru64 UNIX documentation, which you can access, at any time, by clicking on the Bookmarks menu and then clicking on the Tru64 UNIX documentation bookmark.
