The Alpha Force of the NCR Military is a Special Task Force Detachment, meaning the Alpha Force operates under the NCR Military, but does not take orders from the Supreme commanders. For the Alpha Force to be engaged in any battle, a request must be put through to those in charge.

The people in charage of Alpha Force are the people nobody knows about. It's unsure who the commanding officers and leaders of the Alpha Force are, but it is for sure that they are effecient at it.

Alpha Force is kind of like the Rangers on steroids. These are the guys who have excelled since basic training. These are the guys that made platoon leader by their second year in. The guys who have nothing to lose, and everything to kill. Alpha Force members can easily be determined by their insignia and the grey beret they wear. Unless you yourself are a Ranger or an Alpha Force member, it is advised you watch yourself around any Alpha Force member, officer or mere grunt.

Alpha Force and Rangers have a kind of bond that is obvious when they run into each other. It's a kind of brotherhood of being the best of the best, being in the NCR Military Special Task Forces.

The individual divisions of the Alpha Force are unknown. What is for sure is that all of the members of Alpha Force are Airborne trained, and highly qualified for nearly any division of the regular NCR Military. They can operate tanks, artillery, armored vehicles and the likes, though they are mainly an Infantry fighting force.
