Fort Wallace was established two years ago, in 2261, as a tactical point for the NCR military before the Enclave War. Since it was built, first dubbed as Fort Reno, it has been destroyed, rebuilt and occupied by the Enclave for a few months as "Camp Purity", destroyed again, and rebuilt a little less than a mile northeast of New Reno. Its new name gave homage to the memory of one of NCR's finest generals, General Roland Wallace, who died in New Reno in the course of fighting back the Enclave threat.
Fort Wallace hosts an air strip that, during peace time, is seldom used but during war time, plenty of helicopters and VertiBirds traffick through there. The fort hosts a number of temporary tent structures as well as many more permanent structures. It was heavily used during the Enclave war as a field HQ and staging point for many missions, and also during the zombie apolcalypse as the northernmost staging point before the zombie lines.
NCRM soldiers stationed at Fort Wallace often take break and leave in New Reno itself, grabbing some cold brews, hot women, and lively action that Reno has to offer.
