The Bishops control the northern and middle section of the city, with their HQ smack in the middle of it, the (now) famous Shark Club Casino. The upper level is lavish living spaces (as well as a swimming pool on the roof), housing Mrs. Bishop and her daughter. Open violence and crime are minimal in Bishop turf and quickly quelled by the patrolling Enforcers.

Most Enforcers are as wide as an ox, nearly seven feet tall, decked out in a blue suit and white fedora hat, and often carrying a large tommygun. They patrol either alone or in small groups, but even the solitary ones are more than a match for most gang scum. The severity of the beating typically matches the severity of the crime, and people quickly learn not to do anything illicit in Bishop turf, for fear of the Enforcers breaking up the party. They're not impossible to beat, but you had better get the drop on them first, and you had better pray they dont outnumber you. Even then, chances are you wont all be getting out alive. What goes on behind closed doors, however...

There is a basic tax for living in Bishop turf, which goes to pay for working streetlights, filled-in potholes, and running, clean water. Most buildings have landlords or landladies and are kept in reasonable condition, although you have to pay rent for these. As everywhere in Reno, there are still abandoned warehouses and run-down, unoccupied apartment buildings to squat in, if you want a rent-free place without the regular guaranteed amenities. These are just fewer and further between. Generally, Bishop turf is relatively safe to live and travel in. Relative, meaning it's still a dangerous place... but you can at least walk down the street during the day, now, and not be harassed by gang members and muggers constantly.
