To become the best, experience is not the only thing that must be gained. Training the mind and body is other key to mastering any skill.
Your character can boost their stats, XP, and Skill XP through RP'ed training.
XP and Skill XP Training
For every 25 paragraphs of RP you do, you get 50 XP or SXP towards your character (only one or the other, not both). When you submit logs, you need to submit at least 25 paragraphs at a time, or more. A training paragraph should be just to the point that IRC automatically cuts off a paragraph, give or take. You can, of course, spread it out over a few training sessions. The RP for this must be some sort of training, skills-sharpening activity, or situation where your character would learn something significant and useful.
You can also do Group Training for XP or SXP. Afterall, training with a group is much more effective than training alone... you can learn new techniques and pit your talents against those of others. When you train with other people, you get a 20% discount per extra person on the number of paragraphs required for XP or SXP, as seen below:

You're allowed to train with more than 4 people, but you don't get any additional discounts.
People can do different types of training together. If you are doing a training session with three other people, you are allowed to train for XP, the other person can train for SXP, the third person can train for an appropriate stat, and the fourth person could submit it for Job RP. The important factors are doing the required number of paragraphs, and making sure the RP is appropriate for the type of training you are doing.
Stat Training
You can do training to increase your characters' stats. Training can involve anything that could increase the character's stats: sparring, target practice, disassembling and reassembling various weapons and bits of tech, or playing cards. There is a limit as to how many points you can train for each stat, as seen below. Also, you can do Group Training for stat training. You get a 20% discount per person on the number of paragraphs required, as seen below:

Remember, the training being RP'ed MUST coincide with a stat. If you do push-ups and lift weights, that point likely goes into the strength stat.

Submitting Logs
You will need to log your RP in one of two ways. If you have mIRC or an IRC program that allows auto-logging, you should turn on your auto-logging feature. This will save your logs into a text file, and from there you can copy and paste. If you don't have an auto-logging feature, you will need to either copy/paste directly from IRC, or ask someone else who has the logs to send them to you.
Please send all training logs to NewRenoRPG@gmail.com. Please put 'Training RP Logs' as the subject so it does not get deleted as junk mail. Please state clearly at the top of the logs what you are training for: stat (and which one), SXP, or XP. Please state (if any) all group members involved in the training. If you are submitting logs for yourself and other people, please let the GMs know who is training for what. Please number all paragraphs, delete all posts that aren't involved in your training, and put a space between paragraphs for easier reading.
The GMs will read the logs and update your character at their earliest convenience. Sometimes this is the same day, but usually it takes a few days, depending on their schedules. Sometimes it may take up to a week or more during busy times. If the logs are not updated after a week, you can kindly and politely ask a GM about the status of your logs.
