VMS Help System Services, $GETUTC  *Conan The Librarian (sorry for the slow response - running on an old VAX)

    Returns the current time in 128-bit UTC format.

    On Alpha systems, this service accepts 64-bit addresses.

 utcadr

    OpenVMS usage:coordinated universal time
    type:         utc_date_time
    access:       write only
    mechanism:    by 32- or 64-bit reference (Alpha)
    mechanism:    by 32-bit reference (VAX)
    The 128-bit time value to be returned.
