    This directory, known by the logical name SYS$STARTUP, is
    used when starting up the operating system. The logical name
    SYS$STARTUP is a searchlist that points to the [SYS$STARTUP]
    and [SYSMGR] directories.

    Startup routine for the DECamds application

2 - DEBUG$STARTUP.COM

    Dummy file that allows DEBUG to support CLD patch kits

3 - DECDTM$SHUTDOWN.COM

    Command procedure to attempt to close DECdtm's transaction log and
    stop the TP_SERVER process; fails if any transactions are active
    when the procedure is run

4 - DECDTM$STARTUP.COM

    DECdtm services startup command procedure

5 - DNS$CLERK_STARTUP.COM

    Command procedure to create the Distributed Name Service (DNS)
    environment and start up the DNSadvertiser

    Uses SET NET to REGISTER (or UPDATE) the network attributes
    for DECnet Phase IV or DECnet-Plus (DECnet_OSI)
