DECTPU, TPU$EXECUTE_COMMAND

    The TPU$EXECUTE_COMMAND routine allows your program to execute
    DECTPU statements.

    Format

      TPU$EXECUTE_COMMAND  string

  1 - Returns

    OpenVMS usage:cond_value
    type:         longword (unsigned)
    access:       write only
    mechanism:    by value

    Longword condition value. Most utility routines return a
    condition value in R0. Condition values that this routine can
    return are listed under Condition Values Returned.

  2 - Argument

 string

    OpenVMS usage:char_string
    type:         character string
    access:       read only
    mechanism:    by value
    DECTPU statement. The string argument is the address of a
    descriptor of a character string denoting one or more DECTPU
    statements.

  3 - Description

    This routine performs the same function as the built-in procedure
    EXECUTE described in the DEC Text Processing Utility Reference
    Manual.

  4 - Condition Values Returned

    TPU$_SUCCESS       Normal successful completion.
    TPU$_EXECUTEFAIL   Execution aborted. This could be because of
                       execution errors or compilation errors.
    TPU$_EXITING       EXIT built-in procedure was invoked.
    TPU$_QUITTING      QUIT built-in procedure was invoked.
