    The Read a Single Character routine reads a keystroke and returns
    that keystroke's terminator code.

    Format

      SMG$READ_KEYSTROKE  keyboard-id ,word-terminator-code

                          [,prompt-string] [,timeout] [,display-id]

                          [,rendition-set] [,rendition-complement]
