^*Conan The Librarian (sorry for the slow response - running on an old VAX)

    The SET MODE command sets or cancels screen mode and various
    submodes within screen mode. Keypad mode is enabled by default.
    You must disable keypad mode only if your program requires the
    use of the numeric keypad for its own purposes.
