         Link error monitor threshold.

     PHY TYPE

         Type of the physical port A, B, S, or M.  This characteristic cannot
         be set.

     PMD TYPE

         Type of the PMD transceiver for this physical port. This
         characteristic cannot be set.

         ANSI SONET              - unshielded twisted-pair

         ANSI multimode          - low power

         ANSI multimode type 1   - thinwire

         ANSI single mode type 2 - shielded twisted-pair
