Library /sys$common/syshlp/ncphelp.hlb CLEAR, LINE, STATE  *Conan The Librarian (sorry for the slow response - running on an old VAX)

 Resets STATE to its default value (OFF) in the volatile database, or
 removes the STATE value from the permanent database.
