Library /sys$common/syshlp/ncphelp.hlb CLEAR, LINE, PROTOCOL  *Conan The Librarian (sorry for the slow response - running on an old VAX)

 Applies to all lines except CI lines.  Resets to its default value the
 PROTOCOL parameter in the volatile database, or removes the PROTOCOL
 value from the permanent database.  The line must be in the OFF state
 before  CLEARing this parameter.
