  Click on the Produce an LSE Diagnostics File button to
  generate a file containing compiler messages and
  diagnostic information about the source code.
  Diagnostics files are reserved for use by DIGITAL
  layered products (for example, the VAX
  Language-Sensitive Editor).

  By default, the LSE diagnostics file is given the name
  of the source file plus the .DIA extension.  You can
  optionally change the file name to any valid name of
  your choice.

  The compiler produces one diagnostics file for each
  source file it compiles.  If you are compiling multiple
  files and you type in a file name, each diagnostics
  file is given that name (with a different version
  number).

     /[NO]DIAGNOSTICS[=file-spec]
