Library /sys$common/syshlp/lse$menu.hlb CLOSE_FILE  *Conan The Librarian (sorry for the slow response - running on an old VAX)

  Syntax:  CLOSE FILE file_spec

  Writes a file and deletes the associated buffer.

  If the buffer associated with the specified file is writable and has
  been modified, LSE writes the file out.  It then deletes the buffer.
