Library /sys$common/syshlp/lse$help.hlb CLOSE_FILE  *Conan The Librarian (sorry for the slow response - running on an old VAX)

  Syntax:  CLOSE FILE file_spec

  Writes a file and deletes the associated buffer.

  If the buffer associated with the specified file is writable and has
  been modified, LSE writes the file out.  It then deletes the buffer.

  RELATED COMMANDS:

     SAVE AS                     SET BUFFER CLOSE
