Library /sys$common/syshlp/basichelp.hlb MAG  *Conan The Librarian (sorry for the slow response - running on an old VAX)

  The MAG function returns a number that equals  the  absolute  value  of  a
  specified  expression.   The  returned value has the same data type as the
  expression.

  A = MAG(B)
