Library /sys$common/syshlp/basichelp.hlb Commands, APPEND  *Conan The Librarian (sorry for the slow response - running on an old VAX)

  This command merges the specified program with the program currently  in
  memory.   If  appending  the  two  programs  results  in  duplicate line
  numbers, the appended lines replace the old lines.  The  APPEND  command
  can only be specified on programs that contain line numbers.
