Saving All Changes Made to a File

  Choose Save to save all the changes you make to an existing
  file.

  You can save all the changes you make to a Notepad window
  that is not yet associated with a file name as follows:

  1.  Choose Save As...  from the File menu; a dialog box
      appears.

  2.  Enter the file name and click on the OK button.

  You can also save all changes and end a Notepad session by
  choosing Exit from the File menu.  Notepad prompts you for
  a file name.
