Deleting a Message

  Choose Delete from the Edit menu in a Read window to
  delete the currently displayed message.

  The message is not actually deleted until the folder is closed.
  You can reverse the delete operation with Undo Move/Delete
  on the Edit menu.  When the folder is closed, the message is
  deleted and reference to it is removed.

  Deleted messages are moved to the WASTEBASKET.

  You can retrieve deleted messages by opening the
  WASTEBASKET and moving the message to a folder.
  When the WASTEBASKET is emptied, the messages are
  permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
