Printing an Entry or Series of Entries
Use the Print... menu item from the File menu to print the
appointments in a selected calendar timeslot, day, or week to
a file or to a printer.
Click on the time, day number, or week number. Choose
Print... from the File menu. The Print dialog box is displayed.
It contains the time period you selected and provides a default
name for the file to be sent to the printer. To change the file
name, click on the text entry field and enter a new filename.
Click on OK to print the file.
Note that to print a week you must enable the Show Week
Numbers option in the General dialog box, accessible from
Calendar's Options menu.
To make notes while you are away from your Calendar, you
can create a blank form by printing blank days. To print
blank days, ensure that the Print Blank Days option in the
General dialog box is enabled. Then find one or more days
that currently do not have any entries and print the days
using the method described in the preceding paragraphs.
If the filename you use in the Print dialog box has the
extension .ps, then a PostScript file will be created. If the
extension is .txt, a text file is created.
To limit the number of lines that get printed when calendar
entries are long, click on the Line Limit check button. Then
drag the slider to set the maximum number of lines printed
for each entry.
The Options... push button of the Print dialog box lets you set
options such as the number of copies to print, the print queue,
and whether to delete the print file after printing. For help
on these options, click on Options... and use the Help push
button on the dialog box that appears.
If you are familiar with PostScript, you can create your own
personalized print format. Copy the SYS$LIBRARY:DECW$CALENDAR_
PROLOG.PS file to a local directory, tailor the personal copy,
then define the logical name DECW$CALENDAR_PROLOG
to point to the personalized file.
