Printing a Section or Book
You can print the section you are reading, one or more
sections from the book that is open, or an entire book.
Two types of formatting are available:
* PostScript(R)
Bookreader generates a PostScript file that closely resem-
bles the information you see online. Graphics, tables, and
other elements are printed as well.
* ASCII text
Bookreader generates a text file in ASCII format. The
text is converted to a monospaced font, graphics are not
included, and tables are formatted as closely as possible to
the online version.
You can also extract the section or book to a file for
printing later by using the same menu option on the File
menu.
Follow these steps to print one or more sections, or an entire
book:
1. Depending on what you plan to print, choose the appro-
priate task from the following table.

Print the section you are Click MB1 to select the section.
reading Then choose Print Topic... from
the Topic window's File menu.
Print adjacent sections from Click MB1 and drag through the
the book that is open set of sections in the Navigation
window. Then choose Print
Topic(s)... from the Navigation
window's File menu.
Print non-adjacent sections Click Ctrl/MB1 on each section
from the book that is open in the Navigation window. Then
choose Print Topic(s)... from the
Navigation window's File menu.
Print a book Select the book title in the Library
window by clicking on it. Then
choose Print Book... from the
Library window's File menu.
2. In thePrint dialog box , specify either PostScript(R)
or Text output, then select the printer you want to use.
Be sure the printer you choose is capable of printing the
format you selected.
3. Click on OK.
The Print dialog box also contains other fields that you may
want to use. For more information on those fields, click on
the Help button in the Print dialog box.
Bookreader places a copyright statement at the beginning
of all printed information. If the book contains a copyright
section, Bookreader uses that information in its copyright
statement. Otherwise, it uses a Compaq copyright statement.
Because of copyright protections or other similar reasons, the
author of a document may choose to suppress the ability to
print it. If you attempt print one of these books you see the
following message:
The author of this document has elected to disallow printing.
