Polarhome root access, dedicated server and virtual private server hosting

polarhome.com realm, since 1999, offers shell accounts, development environment as well as other access possibilities like web hosting, mail etc. However, the user accounts are standard user acounts. During the years many user asked for a dedicated server or root access to servers for administration training or some "violent" development purpose that could interfer with other users on the system.

Until now these request were refused, because polarhome did not have enough resources to handle - but today, with raise of cloud computing and server virualization there is possibility to provide this kind of services too.

Unfortunately, it still requires lot of resources, therefore polarhome is not able to provide this service for symbolic one time, 10 local user curency admission fee, but for very low monthly fee - that will be used for improving services both for root access hosts as well as polarhome hosts.

How does it work?

polarhome.com is accesable from both IPv4 and IPv6 (the next generation IP protocol) networks.
The root access hosts use the polarhome network infrastructure, but are hosted on a considerably better hardware.

• unlimited, but dynamically divided bandwith usage
• development environment that comes with the standard installation

• console access on some of the hosts
• help around obtaining eventual licences
• hardware extension possibility - on request
• help with migration from polarhome servers to another host

• physical access to the hardware
• access to ILO and MP console
• in most cases serial access is not possible
• in most cases direct console access is not possible
