NAME
       stopwinbind - Stop winbindd.

SYNOPSIS
       stopwinbind [-h or --help] [-c <configuration file>]

DESCRIPTION
       This program is part of the samba(7) suite.

       stopwinbind is a shell script to stop winbindd. If winbindddaemons are
       already down, stopwinbind will report the status of winbindd and return
       a non-zero value. If stopwinbind is unsuccessful in bringing down
       winbindd, it will report this also and return a non-zero value. Upon
       successful completion stopwinbind returns a zero.

       Use of this utility will cause a message to be logged to the user
       facility in the system log, unless winbindd were already down.

       For example:

	   stopwinbind
		Stop winbindd.
	   stopwinbind -h
	   stopwinbind --help
		Display help message.
	   stopwinbid -c <configuration file>
		   Stop only processes associated with specified configuration file.

OPTIONS
       -h or --help
	   This option specifies stopwinbind displays help message.

VERSION
       This man page is for HP CIFS Server based on Samba3.0.
