NAME
     sched_yield - force the current pthread to be rescheduled

SYNOPSIS
     #include <sched.h>

     int
     sched_yield(void);

DESCRIPTION
     This interface is defined by IEEE Std1003.1c (``POSIX'').

     If other threads are ready to run, the sched_yield() function forces the
     current thread to suspend itself temporarily and let them execute.

RETURN VALUES
     Always returns 0.

STANDARDS
     The sched_yield function conforms to IEEE Std1003.1c (``POSIX'').

HISTORY
     The sched_yield function first appeared in BSD/OS 3.0.
