       remove -	 Removes a file

	Standard C Library (libc.a)

       #include <stdio.h>

       int remove(
	       const char *file_name );

DIFFERENCES
       vms-files(5): OpenVMS File System Differences

       The syntax of file_name is different on UNIX and OpenVMS. On OpenVMS,
       either a UNIX or VMS style file_name may be used. File names on Open‐
       VMS are also case insensitive.

       OpenVMS	supports multiple versions of files; UNIX does not.	If you
       remove "xyz.dat" on OpenVMS, only the most recent version of this file
       is remove. The prior version becomes the current version. On UNIX,
       the file will not longer exist.

RELATED INFORMATION
