NAME
     pthread_self - return the thread ID of the calling thread

SYNOPSIS
     #include <pthread.h>

     pthread_t
     pthread_self(void);

DESCRIPTION
     This interface is defined by IEEE Std1003.1c (``POSIX'').

RETURN VALUES
     The pthread_self() function returns the pthread identifier of the calling
     thread.

HISTORY
