NAME
prmmove - move one or more processes to a PRM group

SYNOPSIS

       [PRMgroup|-i] PID ...] PGID ...] login ...]

DESCRIPTION
moves one or more processes to the target PRM group PRMgroup. Specify
       processes to be moved by:

	    Process ID
	    Process group ID
	    User login

COMMAND AVAILABILITY
Users must own the processes to be moved and, if specifying PRMgroup,
have permission to use the PRM group PRMgroup (see prmconf(4)).

       Superusers have no restrictions.

OPTIONS
Running	without options prints a list of the PRM groups the invoking
user can access. The first group in the list is the invoking	user's
       initial group.

       Display version information and exit.

Print a list of the PRM groups the invoking user can access
in wide-column format, exceeding the 30-column default if
necessary to avoid clipping any names. The first group in
the	list is the invoking user's initial group. (Although
this option is still supported, you do not need to specify
it as its behavior is now the default.)

PRMgroup Is the target PRM group. Specify a target PRM group by the
PRM group name or the PRM group ID (PRMID).	PRMgroup can‐
not	be a parent group in a hierarchy. For information on
group hierarchies, see the group records syntax in prm‐
		   conf(4).

Designate the invoking user's initial group as the target PRM group,
       or, if
login is specified, designate the initial group for login
as the target PRM group. If the initial group is not
defined in the configuration file, the target PRM group
becomes PRMID 1, the user default group.

Move the processes associated with the specified
PIDs to the target PRM group. The option can be specified
		   with multiple arguments.

Move the processes associated with the specified process group IDs (or
PGID) to the target PRM group.

To find a process group ID:

		   1. Set the UNIX95 environment variable to 1.

		   2. Run the following command:

		   3. Check the PGID column of the processes you are	inter‐
		      ested in

The option can be specified with multiple arguments.

Move the processes owned by the specified user
login to the target PRM group. Only those processes cur‐
rently running are affected; this does not	affect	future
logins. The option can be specified with multiple argu‐
		   ments.

RETURN VALUE
returns exit status if no errors occur, and otherwise.

EXAMPLES
Move the (already running) processes with PIDs and to the PRM group

Move all currently running processes, with process group ID to the
       group:

Move the user's processes to his/her initial group (assuming the user's
       login is

Print a list of PRM groups can access:

	      Sample output:

User tester1 can access the following:
		     test
		     admin
		     OTHERS

WARNINGS
When is used to move a configured application to a group other than its
assigned PRM group, the application processes remain in their new group
until explicitly moved by prmmove or prmconfig. However, if the	appli‐
cation is moved before the application manager is started, the pro‐
cesses may be moved (depending on whether you to their configured
groups when the application manager is started and enabled.
