OMFDUMP(1) OMFDUMP(1)

NAME
omfdump -- display Intel/Microsoft OMF object files.

SYNOPSIS
       omfdump [ -r ] [ files ... ]

DESCRIPTION
omfdump reads objects files in the Intel/Microsoft OMF file format (e.g.
MS-DOS .OBJ and XENIX .o files) and displays them in	a more human-
readable fashion. In	particular, it will display the segment defini-
tions and partially decode record types that it understands. Data and
unrecognised records will simply be hex dumped.

The -r flag suppresses record interpretation.

The file offset printed by omfdump on the left of each record matches
closely with linker error messages produced by the OMF/x.out linker
under SCO XENIX/UNIX. This may be useful.

BUGS
       Probably.

NOTES
This program was used in the process of doing my port of the GNU assem-
bler to XENIX. As such, it does understand all the record types that
are produced by that version of the assembler.

CAVEATS
If you	don't know what's in OMF, you probably want to read up on it
before doing anything with this program.
