ldsseek(3)							    ldsseek(3)

NAME
       ldsseek, ldnsseek - seek to an indexed/named section of a common object
       file

SYNOPSIS
       #include <stdio.h>  #include  <filehdr.h>  #include  <syms.h>  #include
       <ldfcn.h>

       int ldsseek(
	       LDFILE *ldptr,
	       unsigned short sectindx ); int ldnsseek(
	       LDFILE *ldptr,
	       char *sectname );

DESCRIPTION
       The ldsseek() routine seeks to the section specified by sectindx of the
       common object file currently associated with ldptr.

       The ldnsseek() routine seeks to the section specified by sectname.

       Both routines return SUCCESS or FAILURE. If sectindx is greater than
       the number of sections in the object file, ldsseek() fails; if there is
       no section name corresponding with sectname, ldnsseek() fails. If there
       is no section	data for the specified section or if it cannot seek to
       the specified section, either function fails.

       Note: The first section has an index of one.

       The program must be loaded with the object file access routine library
       libmld.a.
