ldlseek(3)							    ldlseek(3)

NAME
       ldlseek, ldnlseek - seek to line number entries of a section of a com‐
       mon object file

SYNOPSIS
       #include <stdio.h>

       #include <filehdr.h> #include <syms.h> #include <ldfcn.h>

       int ldlseek(
	       LDFILE *ldptr,
	       short sectindx ); int ldnlseek(
	       LDFILE *ldptr,
	       char *sectname );

DESCRIPTION
       The ldlseek() routine seeks to the line number entries of the section
       specified by sectindx	of the common object file currently associated
       with ldptr.

       The ldnlseek() routine seeks to the line number entries of the section
       specified by sectname.

       Both routines return SUCCESS	or FAILURE. Note: Line numbers are not
       associated with sections in the current implementation of the	symbol
       table; therefore, the	second argument is ignored, but maintained for
       historical purposes.

       If they cannot seek to the specified line number entries, both routines
       fail.

       The program must be loaded with the object file access routine library
       libmld.a.
