NAME
       joyent - Joyent branded zone

DESCRIPTION
The joyent brand uses the branded zones framework described in
       brands(5) to implement Joyent SmartMachines.

   Configuration and Administration
The joyent brand supports a file system model similar to the now obso‐
lete sparse root model. You	cannot use the defunct inherit-pkg-dir
resource with the joyent brand, but the brand itself will share the
/lib, /sbin and /usr directories with the global zone.	The brand pro‐
       vides zone-writable /lib/svc/manifest/site and /usr/local directories.

The joyent brand provides VNICs on-demand for exclusive stack	zones.
When the zone boots, a VNIC will be created on the specified global-nic
and destroyed when the zone shuts down.

The following net properties are supported by the brand:

       blocked-outgoing-ports

Blocks network traffic on the specified list of ports.

The zonecfg(1M) utility is used to configure an	joyent	branded zone.
Once a	branded zone has been installed, that zone's brand cannot be
changed or removed. The zoneadm(1M) utility is used to report the
zone's brand type and administer the zone. The zlogin(1) utility is
used to log in to the zone.
