DESCRIPTION
The glade-3 interface designer enables you to create and edit user
interface designs for GTK+ applications.
The GTK+ library provides an extensive collection of user interface
building blocks such as text boxes, dialog labels, numeric entries,
check boxes, and menus. These building blocks are called widgets.
glade-3 allows you to modify the layout and properties of these wid‐
gets. You can also use glade-3 to add connections between widgets and
application source code.
The user interfaces designed in glade-3 are stored in an XML format,
enabling easy integration with external tools. You can use the
libglade(3C) library to dynamically create GUIs from the XML descrip‐
tion.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
---without-devhelp Disable Devhelp integration.
gnome-std-options Standard options available for use with most
GNOME applications. See gnome-std-options(5)
for more information.
OPERANDS
The following operands are supported:
filename The name of the file to be edited or viewed. If
filename is not specified, a blank window is
opened.
EXAMPLES
Example 1: Launching Glade with sample XML description file
example% glade-3 example.glade
EXIT STATUS
The following exit values are returned:
0 Application exited successfully
>0 Application exited with failure
