NAME
cvspeed - The suite of WorkShop Performance Tools

SYNOPSIS
     (None)

DESCRIPTION
cvspeed is the descriptive term for the WorkShop performance tools. It
no longer exists as a program in the current release.

To record a performance experiment, invoke the WorkShop Debugger, cvd, on
the executable to be measured, and use the ``Perf'' menu entry to select
the type of data to be recorded.

To examine a previously recorded experiment, invoke the WorkShop
Performance Analyzer, cvperf, with the experiment directory as its
argument.	You may also use the system program pixie to generate a pixie
counts file, and invoke cvperf on the counts file. To do so, you will
need to install a patch with a later version of pixie than is on the
current released system. Contact Customer Support to obtain the patch.

Users are urged to read CASEVision/WorkShop User's Guide, Part IV, before
using these tools. For additional information about each of them, please
consult the on-line help system and the man pages for the individual
     tools.
