NAME
       countdown - count down a specified time interval

SYNOPSIS
       countdown interval

DESCRIPTION
       countdown  counts down a specified time interval, then beeps and exits.
       I use it mainly as an egg timer.

       The interval can be specified as seconds, or as minutes followed by  an
       "m",  hours  followed  by an "h", days followed by a "d", or weeks fol‐
       lowed by a "w".
