COL2RGB(1.0) Talisman User Commands COL2RGB(1.0)

NAME
col2rgb - convert Xcms colors to RGB:0/0/0 or RGB.TXT for-
       mat

SYNOPSIS
col2rgb [-help] [-version] [-debug] [-xcmsdb]	[-rgbtxt]
       [<XtOptions>...]

DESCRIPTION
The col2rgb program allows the user to convert a sequence
       of

	      colorname colorspec

pairs to either the Xcms RGB format, such as

	      colorname RGB:255/255/255

or to the archaic RGB.TXT format used by many X servers,
       where each line is

	      255 255 255 colorname

on a workstation display running X.

OPTIONS
The various options are as follows:

-help Print a usage message and exit.

       -version
Print a version summary and exit.

       -debug Enable debugging.

       -xcmsdb
The input is expected to be an Xcms Database for
use through the XCMSDB environment variable. The
usual header and trailer for an XcmsDB are dis-
	      carded on input.

       -rgbtxt
The output is expected	to be	formatted as an
rgb.txt file, for use	as an X server's primary
color database, generally specified as a startup
option on the X server command line. Note that it
is common for this file to be further	processed
into files such as rgb.dir rgb.pag by additional
	      software, see rgb(1).

       <XtOptions>
The -display to specify an alternate server for
executions where no server is on the local machine.
