NAME
     bootparams - get system boot parameters

SYNOPSIS
     bootparams [prefix ...]

DESCRIPTION
     The bootparams utility retrieves system boot parameters.  The boot param-
     eters to be retrieved are described using a ``Management Information
     Base'' (``MIB'') style name, described as a dotted set of components.

     If no arguments are given, bootparams will display all boot parameters.
     The display can be restricted by specifying one or more first level pre-
     fixes; the output will be limited to values that start with that prefix.

     Boot parameters contain information learned from the BIOS, or parameters
     specified to the boot command that are saved in memory and passed to the
     kernel.
